ONE WEEK!!!

I cannot believe June is upon us already! 2013 has been going by so quickly! The New Moon is next Saturday and that is also the day I have chosen for my relaunch of Moondaughter!!

It is so symbolic for me as well. I am moving into a new chapter of my life: I have finally laid to rest my college days and struggles with what society deems as a "good career." Moondaughter is my passion, teaching and healing with Spirit and loving intention is what I feel called to do!  So I am making that leap.

So I wanted you all to know where I see Moondaughter going:

Lunar Healing: I just became a Certified Holistic Life Coach through the Apothecary Circle, and my coaching will involve weaving Lunar Rhythms back into your day to day life.

Moon Ceremony: Creating custom nourishing moon rituals aligned with the phases of the moon.

Crystal Healing: I am in the process of becoming a Certified Crystal Healer (I am waiting for my test results! Eeeeee!) I will be able to help you with our stone allies to realign energy and bring balance back to your life through Crystal grids and custom crystal kits!

Moon Rhythms: An online community of healers, gypsies, and moon children to gather coming in August!

Certified Metaphysical Practitioner: Accredited training to become a cultivator of magic! 

I can't wait to share this all with you! It will be a learning experience for me and I am honored for you all to witness this journey :) Of course there will be a big Giveaway for the relaunch over at the new blog! So be sure to enter next Saturday!

Moon Days: New Moon Brews

This New Moon weekend I turned my little kitchen into an apothecary cabinet. I created my tinctures on the New Moon since the Waxing Moon enhances the absorption of liquids. I brewed my own Moon-time tea with raspberry leaf, lady's mantle, and hibiscus flower- tart, yummy, and soothing- much needed on my own cycle. I created a vanilla rose bath salt blend with ylang ylang and geranium essential oils for a Galentine's Day gift exchange my friend is putting together, along with  a soothing detox mask of green clay, crushed lavender, and aloe vera powder. It's so much fun!!

Happy Moon Day everyone!

My birthday weekend was so fun and a much needed little getaway in the woods. And it still is not over yet! I have two friend dates planned and my boy got us tickets to Knotts Berry Farm! He got me a Trancas Geode that they will cut for me, along with a gift card to get some more crystals! I am so excited! I will post pictures when I get them! I am a very happy 26 year old :)

For now, in honor of the New Moon on the 13th here are some affirmations to help embrace new beginnings and cycles.

I don't know about you, but I have never found a tarot/oracle reading focused on the flow of the Moon, so I decided to create my own! My readings follow the phases of the Moon (of course they would) and help you connect with your Lunar cycle (I don't mean your Moon-time) more deeply to help you recognize your own rhythm and relationship with Luna. Moon Days: Artemis

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Welcome back to Moon Day. I am going to share with you a little info about the Moon Goddess Artemis. Artemis has always been near and dear to my heart, so you might hear me talk about Her a lot!

Artemis is a maiden Goddess of the Moon. Her phases are typically the new and waxing moon. She is the Greek Goddess of the hunt, wild things, protectress of women, and a completely independent spirit. I was so drawn to Her in my early college years because in that chapter of my life I was transitioning into an independent young woman and finding my own voice. If you are drawn to Her it may be because you are going through something similar.


Ways to connect with Artemis are (and what I have done before):

• Take a nature walk. Ask Artemis to bless your walk and help you connect with nature and see what happens! Journal about your experience.
• Stay in the moment. Whenever I felt I was worrying too much and not being present, I would  focus on my breath and notice what was going on with me physically. Where I was holding tension or what was in pain. I would ask Artemis to guide me and I just felt more connected to me in the present and it felt so much better.
• Stay active. Honoring your body and staying healthy is a huge deal with Artemis. She put Herself and needs first and was known for Her physical prowess. This is so hard for me! I am so not in touch with myself physically, and my root chakra is super under-active, so Artemis really helps to motivate and empower me! Before I do any physical exercise, I ask Artemis to bless my workout! The Warrior poses in yoga is a great way to connect with Her!

These are just a few ways to connect with Her. Remember, I like S.I.M.P.L.E and down-to-earth ways to connect with the Sacred. If you have any questions feel free to comment!

Moon Days: An Offer of Gratitude

Summer Solstice

Happy Summer Solstice everyone! Today we get the most sun rays of the year, before the sun slowly descends into hibernation for the Winter. The cycles of the Sun and Moon never cease to amaze me... sigh. I will definitely be getting out of the house and enjoying the sun (our room we rent does not even have a window for the sun to come in!)

I like S I M P L E when it comes to celebrating the Wheel of the Year. On my spiritual path, I have never done any elaborate rituals, but simple ones instead. Some simple ways to connect to the Summer Solstice (or Litha) are:

• Go outside and bask in the Sun. Feel the Sun's rays lighting you up from the inside. Meditate on this for as long as you like.
• Pick some Sunflowers and bring the Sun into your home!
• Heading out to the beach is a great way to start the Summer.
• If you have to stay inside today, light a candle and thank the Sun, Apollo, Great Spirit, Goddess, whoever you call Divine, for the Sun's warmth and blessings this Summer will bring.

Yesterday was also a New Moon, and how fitting to create a new venture with the launch of my blog and new website design! I added a cool Chakra Guide and ebook to my FREE Offerings page, so do check them out!

This New Moon is also in Gemini, and I am no astrologer by any means, so I rely on Moon Circles for my Moon Astrology knowledge. Dana wrote a great New Moon in Gemini article here.

With that, I think I will head outside and feel the Sun's warmth on my skin :) Have a Happy Summer Solstice!
