ONE WEEK!!!

I cannot believe June is upon us already! 2013 has been going by so quickly! The New Moon is next Saturday and that is also the day I have chosen for my relaunch of Moondaughter!!

It is so symbolic for me as well. I am moving into a new chapter of my life: I have finally laid to rest my college days and struggles with what society deems as a "good career." Moondaughter is my passion, teaching and healing with Spirit and loving intention is what I feel called to do!  So I am making that leap.

So I wanted you all to know where I see Moondaughter going:

Lunar Healing: I just became a Certified Holistic Life Coach through the Apothecary Circle, and my coaching will involve weaving Lunar Rhythms back into your day to day life.

Moon Ceremony: Creating custom nourishing moon rituals aligned with the phases of the moon.

Crystal Healing: I am in the process of becoming a Certified Crystal Healer (I am waiting for my test results! Eeeeee!) I will be able to help you with our stone allies to realign energy and bring balance back to your life through Crystal grids and custom crystal kits!

Moon Rhythms: An online community of healers, gypsies, and moon children to gather coming in August!

Certified Metaphysical Practitioner: Accredited training to become a cultivator of magic! 

I can't wait to share this all with you! It will be a learning experience for me and I am honored for you all to witness this journey :) Of course there will be a big Giveaway for the relaunch over at the new blog! So be sure to enter next Saturday!

Goddess Workshops: Aphrodite, the Love Goddess

This year I am working with more Goddess energy again. 

It also has to do with my word of the year, Nest.

But honestly, I just miss Goddess, my Divine Mother.

For me, working with Goddess energy is so empowering, uplifting, and brings me back to my center. I feel I can touch the wisdom of my ancestors, the ancients, and the goddesses who inhabited the old world; I am a part of that line keeping the old ways strong. It is so powerful and humbling to me.

So I am starting with self-love with Goddess Aphrodite. I want to build a Nest of self-love in my being again. And I want to share this journey with you all. This is the first of the many Goddess workshops I am creating this year. The workshops dances around the Lunar phases (she is after all the symbol of Goddess), and helps you to create your own dance with the Love Goddess.

Venus/Aphrodite (note: I use the Roman and Greek names interchangeably) gets a bad rep sometimes. I actually used to really dislike her. I was turned off by the idea of all the lovers she's had and I thought it was so "cliche" to work with her. 

Why did I get so defensive when it came to Aphrodite? 

The truth is, she reflected all of the self-love, sensuality, self-worth I was missing in my life.

It took a long time to admit that to myself. But as soon as I did, I began to build a relationship with her and the love for myself grew. I looooooooove the smell of roses now (I used to HATE it!), and  I feel more comfortable in my skin.

It is time to come back to her.

The 4-week workshop will include:

I personally am focusing on self-love, but any love you wish to create is in the realm of Venus.We start in the New Moon phase of building our Love intentions, gathering our items. We build upon our actions in the Waxing phase. Manifest and Celebrate under the Full Moon. Resting in Love as Luna wanes. Each email and week build on one another as we work through each phase together.

This is going to be a beautiful experience. I hope you will join me.

Reflecting and Big Plans for 2013

Hey dolls,

I know, I know. I feel like I am a stranger at my own blog now-a-days. I always forget how trying and hectic this season is for me when all I want to do is hibernate. Don't we all?

I missed my first Moon Days post too :( I had my last final that Monday too, but at least school is over for now and I can put more focus on to my blog. I am realizing that planning blog posts should be a priority for each month, so for 2013 that is my goal!

I have been reflecting on this year and what I want for next year. So many opportunities opened up for me and I am so grateful. I have met so many wonderful people, I created my first e-course, I have made more loving decisions, my little shop is budding, and I feel more on track with my soul purpose than ever.

For 2013 I keep hearing the words nest and self-care. I think that is what Spirit wants me to work on and focus in on the next coming months. I need to simplify my home space (and save for an actual place of our own) and take care of me consistently.

I have plans for Moondaughter too :) I am so so so excited to share these when the time is right:

Goddess Workshops: I will be creating Goddess workshops for different Goddesses I have worked with and want to work with more. It will be aligned with the Moon phases and how to work with each Goddess according to the Moon phases; each lesson builds on one another and you will get the full e-book at the end. The lessons will automatically go to your email for 4 weeks at a time, so you can purchase these workshops anytime and use them for any Moon cycle you want! Goddesses I am including so far are:

• Venus/Aphrodite: Attracting love and Self-love Queen
• Baba Yaga; Crone and Shadow work

Healing Sessions: I am becoming certified in Crystal Healing and my Reiki Master Level III very soon, so look out for Healing sessions that I will add to the shop this next year. I will offer Reiki only sessions, Crystal/Reiki sessions, and make custom healing kits, I will keep you updated!

And (Fingers Crossed!)...

2014 Lunar Calendar and Workbook: I really want to create this calendar for 2014. It will be based on the Lunar cycles, so it will not look like the normal calendar we typically use. It will include rituals, activities, journal prompts, and a lot more to work through your Lunar year. 

I also want to include more giveaways and guest posts, and a new feature or two... A LOT of plans and changes!! It should be an amazing Year!

I hope you all have an amazing holiday! I may still be pretty absent for a while. We will be on the road to Oklahoma for the holidays. We really like roadtrips. So I may not have access to a computer for a little bit.

My lovely friend Sondra sent this to my Facebook page and I love this! Moonchild, Moondaughter, same same :)

It makes me think about my choice for the name Moondaughter though. So I thought of this:

Moondaughter [muːnˈdɔːtə] n. A woman who adores and follows the Moon. Her soul finds sanctuary here, and has a kinship with the Moon. A Moondaughter is ever evolving and growing on her spiritual journey. She strives to be in-tune with emotions and to find balance in her mind, body, and spirit. Her Moontime is a celebration of womanhood. The cycles of the Moon are her rhythm. She is called to be a healer to her loved ones and community, spreading love, joy, compassion, and kindness. Her goal is to show women to connect with their inner-sage-woman, Goddess, higher self, or whatever name resonates.

That is what I strive to be. When I see my name I think of this. I have my on and off days, of course; I am human. And that is okay. Showing compassion to yourself is just as important.
