Our Animal Spirit Guide; Our Sweet Theo

Our sweet Theo

Theo is in the hospital right now, and I am devastated.

Saturday he was pretty mellow, Sunday totally stuck to our bed not wanting to do, eat, play, explore nothing. I was worried and kept telling Jimmy something was up, but he didn't seem too concerned. So I shut my gut up (NEVER DO IT).

This morning, I noticed he was in the same position for the last 8 hours or so. I woke up at 5 am I was so worried. He just stared at me with his sweet eyes, and stretched his arm out to me with a little purr. He ate a little, drank a little, went to the bathroom, so I thought maybe he was okay.

When Theo broke his leg in October!
When I went to work, my boss insisted that I go take him to the vet and to not wait any longer. I am so thankful for her. I took him in, and told them I thought maybe he had a hairball caught in his stomach since he had been double bathing lately (he bathes Indy constantly) and he was trying to hack up something today but couldn't.

He had a HIGH fever and was severely hydrated, and I was shocked. Cats are supposed to run 100-102, but he was almost to 105! 106 can cause organ damage. My poor baby, I had no idea he was suffering so much. I left him with a choked up bye for now, as he is being kept overnight. He is in the right care though, so I am thankful.

The x-rays came out with no obstruction to his abdomen, which is really good! But the vet said, "his liver is a little enlarged." and maybe has hepatitis. What??? WHAT???? Blood results won't be in til tomorrow, so we can't know for sure, but WHAT???

I came home to only one kitty on the bed and I broke down. Jimmy called and thanked me for taking him in and not listening to him and told me I am an awesome mother. I just keep crying. My sweet Theo babe, only one years old, how could I have failed you? We treat our cats like our own children. I am lost and devastated and can't think clearly right now, and all I want to do is hold my sweet Theo.

He is a daddy's boy, always <3

This cat has been a blessing from the Universe. Our animal spirit guide. When we got Theo, Jimmy and I were on rocky footing, but once this pure spirit entered our lives, we grew together as a family. I am forever grateful for Theo's companionship, love, and healing - he is a piece of my heart; my soul - he is our family.

We are going to fight for him, and do as much as possible for him. Please send your prayers, healing energies, reiki, good thoughts to this sweet boy. And if you feel called to, we would be so incredibly thankful for donations for his vet bills. Money is very tight for us right now, we are even thinking of selling a car, so anything would be appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my soul and the tears in my eyes.

We love you so so much Theo. We are praying for you fiercely.

Thank you and so much love to you all,
Marissa

Welcome Indy!

Little Indy (for Indiana Jones) is our newest addition to our family! He is so sweet and fuzzy and pink. And he purrs while he plays. Theo has (almost) never-ending patience with him and always wants to bathe him. They are the cutest brothers ever (until we have our own babies).

Cup of Tea: Autumn

Source

"Delicious autumn!  My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth
seeking the successive autumns."

-   George Eliot

Can't wait for big sweaters and cuddling up with cups of tea. We are still in a big heat wave, and I am so ready for cold weather!

And Theo is doing very well, it is hard to keep him calm and still, but I am glad his spirits are up. Thank you for all the love! We feel it!

Love and Blessings,

Theo

Yesterday my 8 month old kitten, Theo, broke his tibia bone. It will be a long 6 weeks to recovery for him. He basically cannot be active (and he is a little monkey), and we have to help him go to the bathroom. He is confined to his cage.  As cute as he looks in his splint, he is so uncomfortable and in pain :( . We are so stressed to see him like this, so any healing prayers/ Reiki would be so helpful and appreciated! Any advice for natural pain remedies would be great too!

To help with the vet bills, I will be hosting a Insta-sale on my instagram @moondaughter, if you would like to check that out!

Love and Blessings,

A Big Thank You

Wow.

I just want to say thank you soooo so much for the love and support for my post yesterday. It felt so much better to get it off my chest and it got me out of the funk I had been in.

Thank you for letting me be human. I love you all so much.

<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>

So. I am letting you know tomorrow I am having a super fun DIY post from the lovely Tamber at Yellow Porch Light. I am super excited to share this!

I will  be launching my Follow Your Moon readings this next week along with a giveaway or two!! I will give more deets as it gets closer :)

Also in other news, I just dropped off my little Theo to get neutered today :( He has to be there all day and I am picking him up after work. Poor little guy. And yes, the picture above is Theo on his leash. Our street is super busy, and there are a lot of stray cats around so I try to monitor him the best I can. His lively spirit is so wild and he loves to be free so I try to accommodate to his needs. I am such a mother cat. Some people may think it's wrong or odd, but it works for us.

Thank you all so much!

Trinkets from AZ

Hello loves, I just wanted to share some goodies I bought from AZ, I kind of splurged (bad habit of mine), but I thought it was well worth it!

1. I added to my budding dream catcher collection. The two on the ends are the new additions. The smallest one was made by a Native American of the Navajo tribe and has a certificate of authenticity.

2. Jimmy and I decided to start a tradition by buying something handmade a local on each of our travels. We chose two coasters.

3. I bought a Himalayan Salt Lamp in Sedona. I absolutely love the glow. Theo (my kitten) also doesn't sneeze anymore! Yes, the poor little guy has allergies. But Himalayan Salt lets out negative ions into air, cleansing and purifying it!

4. I bought the cute place mat because the colors go with my blog! And some AZ grown sage...mmm cannot wait to use it!

5. I bought some new stones to work with! I will share more about them soon!

6. And I bought some pretty pendants to make some items with! Not sure what I will come up with, so this will be fun!

Arizona inspired me to be more artistic again...somehow it got lost in my daily life, but I am re-awakening.

Have a lovely Wednesday, my beautiful readers! Thank you for putting up with all of my pictures of Arizona! Can you not tell I am obsessed?

Love and Blessings,

Namaste: Downward Kitty

Hello lovely readers, I have been trying to get back into a yoga routine for quite sometime, but alas, I am so lax about it. I should honor my body better!

The other day, I tried to do some yoga from one of my fave yoga DVD's by the Yoga Goddess Shiva Rea. Yoga Shakti is such a great, all encompassing yoga workout to have. I feel Shiva does a wonderful job at blending the body and spirit aspects together. Plus she is just gorgeous to watch!

I also read a little excerpt from A Year of Living Yoga by Judith Hanson Lasater. There is a little devotional for each day, it's a great way to start your yoga session or day. Such a beautiful daily read. It gives you a quote, and a little exercise to do on the mat and in your daily life. July 13th's quote is:

"My words reflect my thoughts; my thoughts reflect my beliefs;and my beliefs run my life."

As I was yoga-ing, this little boy had to investigate and I was done for (especially trying to attack my hair in Downward Dog!). He is just too cute, so I had to take these pictures.

I am not giving up hope for a yoga routine! Life is a journey, so it will happen :) One of my dear dear friends will be posting up a yoga routine on here soon! So stay tuned, lovelies!

Have a great, relaxing, sweet summer weekend!

Namaste,
Marissa Moondaughter
