Anniversary Part 3: Love Heals

This post is pretty late, as our anniversary was over a month ago, but here it is!

The last part of our anniversary was at our favorite beach in Solana. I love that little coastal town. I did not wear the right shoes, but it was so worth it to run around on the sand and take in the salty air. It was the first time I had the urge to really beach comb and I collected so many rocks! There was so many round smooth stones, I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning! I am excited to paint them :)

Jimmy even got to play some b-ball with our makeshift hoop! Haha! We actually played two boys a legitimate two-on-two game as we were leaving. It kicked my butt, but it was fun. The boys ended up winning because I am not a very good player :)

I have to say being with this man for two years has healed me in so many ways. I was resistant at first, and I would do my destructive, cold behaviors to push him away as I have done in the past. But his patience and support and love has softened me; I want to be better for me, him, us. We have our differences and issues like any other couple, but the thread that connects us is full with deep love, respect, and gratitude. He encourages me to be me. As I am always with my head in the clouds, his earthy grounding energy brings me back to center. Thank you, Jimmy. I love you.

I think the bench says it all :)

Love and Blessings,

  1. this post was so sweet. I saw the basketball and at first I was confused like when did solana beach get a basketball hoop in the sand? hehe. You need to go to beads, crystals and more next time you are in encinitas!
