I have been feeling really drained lately... I feel pulled in a thousand directions, school is picking up and I feel so off balanced trying to juggle everything that I want and need to do. My diet is taking a turn for the worse because that has become last on my list like always. And of course, daily cups of espresso and caffeine make me stay up way too late. OY!
So I take my Smoky quartz and keep him by my side. And there is relief. I remember to breathe. Mind you, crystal healing is not a quick fix- you do have to put in work. But you feel it on a soul level.
Smoky quartz is grounding and protective. As Clear quartz rules the realm of the higher chakras, on the opposite end of the spectrum, Smoky quartz rules the root. As clear quartz is the ultimate healing stone, it is said that smoky quartz is best grounding stone!
It also has the ability to transmute negative energy in your surroundings. This is a great detoxing stone and space clearing stone- placing one in each corner of your room/home can help clear the energy. To magnify the protection and clearing energy, I have been pairing it with Amethyst and carrying them with me and meditating with them everyday this week.
If you want to magnify practicality, organization, and grounding energy pair your Smoky quartz with Obsidian, Jet, Black Tourmaline, or Hematite.
What do you do when you are feeling drained? What helps to ground you? Most of my birth chart, and Ayurvedic dosha (thanks to Lindsay's Tea Consultation at Whole Body Alchemy) has little earth energy, if at all! I need all the grounding advice I can get!
Love and Blessings,

My favorite grounding practice:
ReplyDeleteSit in a comfortable position (I sit in a chair with my feet flat on the floor), relax and breath. In one breath, imagine a strong, gold root shooting down from your root chakra and deep into the ground. Then send two more golden roots out of your feet and into the ground. Now you have a grounding tripod to support you. When you exhale, release everything you don't need anymore into the Earth via your roots. When you inhale, draw up the Earth's nourishing energy. Recycle what you no longer need, and draw up fresh energy. When you're ready, draw up your roots but know that you are still held and supported by the Earth, and return to your surroundings.
(exercise is from The 7 Healing Chakras, by Brend Davies, M.D.)
I love smokey quartz but I don't have a good chunk of it. Hopefully I can rectify that soon
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel! I will feel pulled in every direction when I have very high energy, then when I crash, I feel equally stressed just without any energy. My diet is often last on my list as well. :/ I want to work on that!
ReplyDeleteI don't have much advice on grounding, as it's something I need to start practicing, however I do suggest the Shavasana position. It's one of my favorites - I have no idea if it's supposed to be good for grounding or not, but it is for me! I also have meditated and imagined roots connecting to the Earth. It's a very peaceful, simple meditation!
I hope you feel lots better, very soon, friend! <3
Thank you for this - I've been drawn to my smokey quartz lately (sleeping with it under my pillow and carrying it in my pocket), and now it makes even more sense!

Thank so much for posting this. I have been feeling pulled in a ton of different directions lately. I was just thinking this morning how draining it has been. I have no smoky quartz! I need to change that!
