The Grateful Project

Happy Blue Moon!  Here it is:

So I cannot believe how blessed I am since I have started this blog. I have met so many kindred spirits, and so many people wanting to create and share with me. I am so grateful for all of you.

Grateful.

I want to create a deep soulful relationship with Grateful. So I created this project when she whispered in my ear at 3 am in the morning, when I could not wait to start it at a normal hour, when my boyfriend so willingly got up to make me a Reese's Klondike shake and put on a movie...

I am Grateful.

So here is The Grateful Project. With this project, I intend to Cultivate an Attitude of Gratitude so it becomes my second breath. I want to share this with everyone so we all can get to know Grateful on more intimate terms.

Here is the Calling.

For the next 30 or 60 days I am calling upon myself, and those who wish to embark on this journey with me, to answer the call of Gratitude.

And This is How it Works.

Step two: Write Your Own
On the blank spot, write five of you own not listed already. Write them the way the others are formatted.

Step three: Prep
Cut them out like so:

Step four: Grateful Container
Establish a container where you will put all of your Grateful tabs in. It could be a jar, bowl, pouch, whatever resonates with you.

Step five: Finding Space
Put the papers somewhere you will see everyday. You could  hang them on your wall, put them on your bed side table, fridge, altar- anywhere you will see them everyday for the next 30 or 60 days and preferably by your Grateful Container.

(mine is hanging above my sacred space)

Step six: The Action
Everyday starting either today (August 31st) or the next day (September 1st), choose one of the tabs to be Grateful for. Take it off the paper so you only have that individual tab, ponder on it and say what you are grateful for in relation to it. You can do this in the morning and start your day with it and notice it throughout the day, or choose to do it at the end of the day and reflect on it before bed. Whatever works for you. Take at least 5 minutes of your day to do this. After you say what you are grateful for either aloud, through meditation, or journaling, place the tab in the Grateful Container and keep it there. Do this until all of your tabs are in the Grateful Container! 30 days of Gratitude! I will be starting September 1st since there is 30 days in the month!

Step seven: Deepening
If you want to deepen your level of gratitude for the next 30 days after that, randomly choose a tab out of the Grateful Container to reflect on! You can do the same process as before, but this time you are not choosing what to be grateful for. You can use it almost as a daily oracle or devotion. And you can make it unique to you! You can put the tabs back in or keep them separate after you pull them. If you keep them in and draw the same tab twice, maybe you need to look at that one more deeply at this moment. Whatever works for you, do it!

Step eight: Share
I want everyone to experience this project and find out what being grateful means to them. Please share this on your blog, facebook, twitter, where ever you feel called. Go "like" the official Facebook Page of the Grateful Project, and share your journey on there, your Grateful Containers, your own five tabs, we will be making a Gratitude Community! Grab the button below and put it on your blog or webpage! For the next 30 days I will be making daily posts on my Twitter and Facebook pages with the links back to this page! Celebrate gratitude with me!!

  7. I read a quote that reminds me of this ... it said, Gratitude turns what you have into enough.
